Vaccinations Are Required

Vaccinations are required for your pet’s protection and ours

​

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​You must provide a current copy of your dog's Certificate of Vaccination for rabies from your veterinarian. A Rabies tag is not acceptable proof.

  • Puppies must have the second round of puppy shots.

  • Rabies must be current within 72 hours of the grooming appointment.

 

Fleas
​

If you know your pet has fleas or ticks, please tell us when you make the appointment.  If we discover the fleas or ticks after you leave, we will attempt to contact you, but will proceed with the flea & tick bath even if we can't reach you.  If fleas are present on your pet, we will require a flea bath. This ensures other pets do not get fleas and it keeps the salon clean. The cost will vary depending on the severity of fleas. The fee is $5-$20.

Aggressive Dogs
 

Please be honest and tell us if your pet has an issue with biting or aggression towards humans or other dogs.  If your pet is very aggressive, unruly, or requires the assistance of another person, Smooches-4-Pooches will decline to groom your pet.  If we are able to accommodate whatever issue your pet has, there will be an additional “handling fee”.  The fee will be $10-$30 in addition to the normal grooming fee; the price will depend on how your pet behaves.  If we believe your pet poses a danger to themselves, other pets or to the groomer this will result in dismissal from services until the dog receives obedience training and the aggression issue is resolved.

 
In case of emergencies
 

In case of an emergency or accident, you will be notified immediately.  If you are unable to take your pet to their regular vet at that time, we will take your pet to the nearest veterinarian. Veterinary bills from matting, old-age, or preexisting conditions will be the responsibility of the owner.

LATE ARRIVALS, LATE DEPARTURES, NO SHOWS AND CANCELLATIONS

We work hard to have your dog groomed in a timely manner. Most dogs are completed within a 2-3 hour time frame so they don't have to sit in a kennel all day.

  • Late arrivals put us behind schedule and conflicts with other clients who arrived on time for their appointment. If you are more than 30 min late we will need to reschedule your appointment.

  • If you have an appointment and you do not call/text to cancel or reschedule you are considered a "no show" and you will be charged an additional fee of $30 per pet, payable before your next salon visit.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we ask that you kindly give us at least 24 hours notice so that we may fill your appointment time with someone else who is on our waiting list.
